I have been wanting to do a blog post on my Amazon Favorites for a while now. I will be posting about each product on my Instagram stories soon too so watch out for that. And, as always thanks for shopping my links! I got my trusty rack out of the garage and put together sort of a capsule wardrobe with Valentine's Day outfit inspiration! I stuck with a theme of black, denim, some gold, red, pink and white. Makes packing for a trip easy, and planning outfits a breeze!

2 pairs of jeans and a faux leather legging
Black booties, black heels, gold sandals and black slip on sneakers
Sequin top, race lace top cami, black lace bodysuit, black moto jackets
Casual lip t shirts and sweatshirts

January Beauty Empties

Happy February! Can you believe it? I used up about 14 products last month - quite a bit more than in December.

  1. Lavender is my absolute favorite candle (and essential oil) scent. LARGE linked here. Brand is exact (DW Home), but I couldn't find this exact one online. I usually try to pick these up at Home Goods. Also, with my beautiful jars like this I like to freeze them, and get the wax out with a table knife. Once clean and dry, you can use them to store things like make up brushes, cotton swabs, colored pencils, etc.
  2. SMALL lavender vanilla candle linked here. Exact is Bath & Body Works, but this is a great easy-to-find, cheaper dupe.
  3. This Epsom salt is such a good deal guys. 3 bags for $20, and I subscribe to get a shipment every 3 months. I always use this in a warm bath for health benefits. LINK??
  4. This dry shampoo was really good, a little pricey. It is from a good brand, but I am not sure what sets it apart. I like to try different dry shampoos, as I have not found my holy grail yet! Any tips?
  5. Grandma's Wrinkle Spray is kind of like a Downy Wrinkle Release spray - I love using this small size to keep on my bathroom counter where I get ready and to bring for travel. Pack of 3 for $13 is a steal!
  6. LOVE this big bottle of Green Tea and Asian Pear - Hempz lotion with a pump! I got it in a gift basket from some girlfriends and I used it to the last drop. I also bought the Pomegranate and used that up too! And the travel size are great for trips or gifting.
  7. CANDID setting powder - very beautiful and good quality for a drugstore makeup product! I would compare it to the Mercier everyone loves!
  8. OMG my FAVORITE and first highlight ever - I finally used ALL of it up. I love Jaclyn Hill, and it has a good mirror, so I will probably keep the empty compact to keep using the mirror. The packaging has changed a little on the newer one, so I guess I am nostalgic.
  9. This TNS Serum was SO expensive but had heard great things about it. I had a lot of problems with the pump - if you have used it, is this normal?
  10. My RIDE OR DIE tanning foam. I haven't been tanning as much lately because I have been getting laser hair removal and you can't before you do it. But still love this one. You can also order it from Target
  11. I got this Belif moisturizing cream to try in a Sephora Play box. I would definitely purchase this. It feels really great on my skin.
  12. Lots of lashes! I love this package and I pick them up at CVS, Amazon, or Ulta. I only use each pair once and throw them out.
  13. All nighter setting spray is a really good one for when you don't want any of your makeup to move all day and night! I love the NYX setting spray, but this one does feel like a little better quality and works great.
  14. Illuminating primer - I really like this and would purchase it again for sure. Can be worn under makeup or alone.
What beauty products did you guys use up last month?
Thanks for reading and shopping through my links!

The Guild Hotel in Downtown San Diego

I had the pleasure of staying at The Guild Hotel in downtown San Diego one weekend in December before Christmas this year. I had such an amazing experience there.

I did a little research on the hotel and found out that in 1924-1970, this building was the Army Navy YMCA. In June of 2019, The Guild reopened as a re-imagination of the old building. Named one of Fall 2019's hottest hotels by Travelocity, they describe it as: "Picture original tiling, exposed brick and a grand ballroom in place of the original 1924 basketball court and pool. Located on the fringes of the buzzy Gaslamp Quarter and walkable to the train station and vibrant waterfront, the hotel offers a minimalist vibe with a touch of swank. Enjoy an overnight stay, hit the treadmill at the expansive workout center, or indulge in al fresco dining in their courtyard restaurant Luca."

So, as the regional chapter leader for the San Diego Blogger Babes, I coordinated a girls' night out for our Holiday dinner at the Luca Restaurant and hotel stay at The Guild with our local blogger girls.

Here our some photos from our stay!

Also, a special thank you to the generous companies local Sagittarius Boutique & my friends at Twisted Silver for the beautiful gifts of jewelry.
